June 07, 2016VIEW PHOTOS 2016 Exceptional Service Award Recipient: Kathy KanaleyKathy Kanaley is a the President of the CEA, Social Worker at Legal Services for the Elderly, Patient Advocate at Kenmore Mercy, and active community member in several organizations (ZONTA, Meals on Wheels, the Kenmore Library, etc.). Kathy is a tremendous asset to this Council and everyone in the aging field. She is a wealth of knowledge and always willing to help in any way that she can. We are honored to work alongside Kathy and we are excited to have her as our recipient, as she is certainly deserving of the award.


June 19, 2015VIEW PHOTOS Elder Abuse Panel Discussion The President of the CEA Kathy Kanaley, Elder Abuse Attorney Sarah Duval from Legal Services for the Elderly, and Adult Protection Case Worker Michelle Cook spoke at the Erie County Library about the financial exploitation of the elderly. This was an excellent event where individuals in the library learned about the signs and symptoms of financial exploitation and what Adult Protection and Legal Services for the Elderly can do to help.


June 13, 2014VIEW PHOTOS Elder Domestic Violence Shelter Network Press ConferenceIn honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness day, the Council on Elder Abuse hosted a press conference to announce the opening of the Elder Domestic Violence Shelter Network of Erie County. Thank you to those who came to celebrate this achievement and increase awareness about elder abuse.
