So, we’re starting a conversation to end the stigma surrounding mental illness. Join us as we share our stories, our struggles and our successes. The local Ombudsman program is looking for some committed volunteers who are willing to advocate for residents in nursing homes and adult care homes.

This award is given to an individual, group, or agency who has made significant contributions in the area of elder abuse and outstanding effort to promote the safety of seniors in Erie County.

The World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) Committee is holding a Caring Cards Challenge where they are asking the community to write friendly notes or letters to older individuals who are not able to leave their homes.
