The World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) Committee is holding a Caring Cards Challenge where they are asking the community to write friendly notes or letters to older individuals who are not able to leave their homes.

Please let your friends and neighbors who may be interested know about the upcoming NYS Region 15 Long Term Care Ombudsman Certification Training that will be held on the following dates and at 2 locations! If interested, please ask them to call Lisa Newman at 817-9222 for an interview asap 

The CERTIFICATION TRAINING will be held on six evenings from 4 to 8pm:

•         Tuesday, May 9th, Wednesday, May 10th, Thursday, May 11th
•         Two weeks of mentoring in-between
•         Tuesday, May 30th, Wednesday, May 31st , Thursday, June 1st

For the first time ever, we will be holding simultaneous presentations at both a northtown and a southdown location.
